Ce documentaire suit la professeure Magda Sibley et l’architecte Rachid Haloui qui revisitent à Fès les 20 hammams traditionnels déjà répertoriés par Magda en 1999. M. Haloui a mené à bien en 2018 les premiers projets de réhabilitation de deux hammams datant du XIVe siècle dans la ville de Fès, classée au patrimoine mondial, et son travail a été salué par le roi du Maroc. Depuis, que sont-ils devenus ? Narré par Francis Mathew, ce documentaire explore la manière dont les traditions ancestrales perdurent ou disparaissent dans un monde en mutation rapide.\nIn Morocco, traditional hammams are much more than just public baths: they are cornerstones of community and cultural life. This documentary follows Professor Magda Sibley and architect Rachid Haloui as they revisit the 20 traditional hammams in Fez that Magda had already catalogued in 1999. In 2018, Mr Haloui successfully completed the first restoration projects on two 14th-century hammams in the city of Fez, a World Heritage Site, and his work was praised by the King of Morocco. What has become of them since then?
