C’est une révolution qu’aucun autre chef d’État au monde n’a jamais osé mener. Une révolte anticapitaliste, féministe et écolo au coeur de l’Afrique des années 80. Aujourd’hui, Sankara est une icône pour des milliers de jeunes et inspire même des rappeurs comme Kalash Criminel ou Youssoupha. Notre film raconte cette histoire à la rencontre de ceux qui l’ont connu et de ceux qui continuent son combat.\nSynopsis (EN): My name is Yohan Malka. My father was born in Morocco and he always spoke to me about Thomas Sankara. I wanted to know more about this legend. Who was he? Known today as an icon across Africa, Sankara led an anti-capitalist, feminist and ecological struggle at the heart of continent during the 80s. « Sankara » is not only the story of an African President, it’s the story of a revolution that no head of state in the world has ever dared undertake. Today Sankara has become an inspiration for millions of youth and has even inspired notable French rappers, such as Kalash Criminel or Youssoupha, in some of their biggest hits.
