Après des années d'errance aux frontières de l'Europe pour y construire une autre vie sans succès, ils ont tous emprunté le chemin inverse. Las des traverses manquées, des risques encourus et de la misère ils ont pris une décision rare chez les migrants clandestins. Rentrer de leur plein gré, et sans-le-sou; le retour de la honte. Si la vie en aventure est une peine physique, le retour est une souffrance morale. Impossible à appréhender. Pour les trois personnages de ce film la difficulté majeure consiste à se faire accepter à nouveau au sein de cercles familiaux ou sociaux non préparés à accueillir un retourné en situation d'échec. Comment accepter que celui sur lequel on a tout misé revienne les mains vides ? Marlyse, Jack and Robert-Alain are “returnees” in Cameroon. After years of wandering the borders of Europe failing to build a new life, they have all taken the opposite path. After several failed escapes, many risks taking and misery, they take a rare decision among illegal migrants. Go back voluntarily, penny-less, the return of shame. If life on the road is a physical pain, the return is an emotional suffering. For the three characters in this film, the main difficulty is to be accepted again in their family and social circle, who are not prepared to welcome back someone in a failure situation. How to accept that the one we counted on more than anything comes back empty-handed?
