Le film, cependant, a lieu en Ethiopie où devenir Noir est représenté par des conversations par e-mail entre frères et sœurs. Emails to My Little Sister is an anthropologically intended film created as part of an MA thesis project concerning the phenomenology of Blackness in Berlin. The film, however, takes place in Ethiopia where becoming Black is reflected back on in siblings' email conversations.
