Née en Côte d’Ivoire, fille et petite-fille d’exciseuses, elle ne pouvait y échapper. Danseuse et chorégraphe, elle vit aujourd’hui en France, et a décidé de prendre le contrepied de cet héritage en essayant de convaincre les femmes de son village natal d’abandonner l’excision. Un combat social et politique, mais aussi intime et familial. Martha Diomandé was 8 when she underwent female genital mutilation. Born in Ivory Coast, with mother and grand mother traditional cutters, she couldn't escape it. Now dancer and choreographer, she lives in France. She decides to take the opposite view of this legacy, and tries to convince the women from her native village to abandon FGM. A social and political fight, but also very personal.
