There is a complex set of social issues including disproportionately high levels of drug use, homelessness, poverty, crime, mental illness, and sex trade workers. The DTES community is also known for its resiliency, social activism and diversity. Among the community, there is a Francophone minority. For 2 months, I followed the daily life of some of the community members."}
