Synopsis (FR) :<\/b> \u00ab King of Djembe \u00bb raconte l’histoire de Famoudou Konate, un grand ma\u00eetre de la musique et de la culture africaines, qui, apr\u00e8s une longue carri\u00e8re internationale, retourne dans son pays natal, en R\u00e9publique de Guin\u00e9e. Le film suit les alentours de la f\u00eate organis\u00e9e pour son 80e anniversaire et les retrouvailles de Famoudou avec d’autres grands ma\u00eetres et amis. Famoudou est l’un des responsables de la diffusion de la culture du Djemb\u00e9 et du Mandeng dans le monde. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 un \u00e9l\u00e9ment central dans l’histoire des Ballets Africains, un \u00e9v\u00e9nement culturel, social et politique important pour le mouvement panafricain et l’ind\u00e9pendance des pays du continent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Synopsis (EN): <\/b>\u201cKing of Djembe\u201d tells the story of Famoudou Konate, a great master of African music and culture, who, after a long international career, returns to his homeland, in the Republic of Guinea. The film follows the surroundings of the party marking his 80th birthday and Famoudou’s reunion with other great masters and friends. Famoudou is one of those responsible for spreading Djembe and Mandeng culture throughout the world, and was a central element in the history of the African Ballets, an important cultural, social and political event for the Pan African movement and the independence of the countries of the continent.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
