Synopsis (FR) : Les habitants de l’île Johns se battent pour conserver leurs terres ancestrales, leur culture et leurs arbres face à plusieurs  menaces:  perte de terres due au surdéveloppement et élévation du niveau de la mer liée au changement climatique. Leur histoire se reflète dans la lutte pour la protection de l’Angel Oak, un chêne vivant bien-aimé âgé de plus de 400 ans qui est situé sur une ancienne plantation de l’île.

Synopsis (EN): Johns Islanders fight to hold onto their ancestral land, culture, and trees amid the threat of land loss due to overdevelopment and climate change related sea level rise. Their story is reflected in the fight to protect the Angel Oak, a beloved live oak tree that is over 400 years old and located on a former plantation on the island.
