Ce film raconte la vie et l’œuvre d’Achille René-Boisneuf, fils d’un esclave affranchi à la fin du XIXe siècle en Guadeloupe, qui devint avocat, journaliste, maire de Pointe-à-Pitre, président du Conseil général, puis député à l’Assemblée nationale.

This film tells the story of the life and work of Achille René-Boisneuf, the son of a slave who was freed in Guadeloupe in the late 19th century, who went on to become a lawyer, a journalist, mayor of Pointe-à-Pitre, president of the General Council, and subsequently a member of the National Assembly.
