Tim, 9 ans, grandit dans une maison où la violence de son beau-père menace l’équilibre fragile de sa famille. Pour protéger sa mère et préserver son monde d’enfant, il apprend à mentir, à l’école comme à la maison. À travers le jeu et l’imagination, Tim invente ses propres moyens de survivre dans un monde qu’il ne comprend pas encore.

Tim, 9, grows up in a home where his stepfather’s violence threatens the fragile balance of his family. To protect his mother and preserve a fragment of childhood, he learns to lie, at school and at home. Through games and imagination, Tim invents his own ways to survive a world he does not yet understand.
